Leading Companies offering Wireless Services

Verizon offers wireless Internet with great coverage. You will be able to connect to the Internet using Verizon wireless Internet without having to worry about the hassles of Wi-Fi hotspots. You will also have the freedom and mobility to work where ever you need to. Verizon wireless Internet also offers you a high-speed wireless broadband network that allows you to view things like email attachments and large files with no cables and as fast as DSL (Digital Subscriber Line). You will receive more security with Verizon wireless Internet because you will have exclusive wireless access instead of using Wi-Fi. Verizon wireless Internet is also very easy to use, and most customers claim it is highly reliable.

You need to purchase what is called a Broadband access card and plan from Verizon wireless Internet. You will then receive your Broadband access card and an installation CD with easy to read and follow directions.

You will have to sign a one or two year term agreement when you purchase your Broadband access card from Verizon. You will get unlimited monthly access and your required equipment will of course be a broadband access capable computer card/express card. Verizon’s wireless Internet may be on the expensive side depending on what you normally pay for your Internet. Besides the term agreement, you will also have to pay an activation fee of $35.00, and there is an early termination fee of $175.00 per line. There are also a few other little fees and charges you will have to pay monthly for each line you have.

Another company that offers wireless Internet is Clearwire wireless broadband. With Clearwire you will receive a secure always-on connection where you can be on both your telephone and Internet at the same time. You will also find connection speeds up to 25 times faster than dial-up connection speeds when using Clearwire. Clearwire used a technology called OFDM transmission protocol and operates on 2.5GHz frequencies, which allows Clearwire to offer a very secure connection as compared to Wi-Fi.

With a Clearwire modem you will be able to extend your service to any user within your house because the modem sets up a local network. You do not have to worry about slower speeds if there is more than one person using Clearwire in your household at the same time as long as you are using a router or a wireless access point. You will also have the ability to connect to the Internet at different locations where there is a Clearwire service area.

You can actually set up your Clearwire modem anywhere in your house regardless of where your computer(s) are actually located. With Clearwire you will have a secure always-on connection, where you can be on both your telephone and the Internet at the same time. Clearwire has several different types of plans you can sign up for, and each plan has a designated amount of bandwidth you can use and what kinds of connection speeds you should expect. You should always be able to receive a Clearwire signal as long as you are in a Clearwire service area. There are two specific situations when this may not be true though, one there may be unusual geography and two because an unexpected circumstance of some kind.
